Why You Must Have A PR Strategy

Having mission and vision statements doesn’t guarantee reaching your audience, which is why national and multinational companies have strategies at which they reach their targets, and these things are not happening by mere coincidence.

As an artist, you are a brand, and as such, you need to be presented as one, all the time! You need to market yourself as one, using your core strength. Everything you do has to be deliberate and must be appealing to your audience.

And as a brand, you need to understand that the effect of PR is long-term. You can’t start a strategy today and expect the result at the snap of a finger. It’s a long-term investment.

You can make great music, have the best stage performance and all the brain bursting things, but once your music doesn’t reach your exact audience, you can as well stop wasting your time and energy, because it’s better to have 20 right targets than to have millions of uninterested people.

As much as you get the right sound, it is as important as getting it to the right people who become your evangelists or stans as the case may be.
