PR: A STRATEGY, Not a Cheat Code

‘But you paid for PR, why is it not working?’

‘But you had a plan, you shouldn’t struggle.’

First of all, nobody says PR is a short cut to achieving a particular goal. It’s a strategic plan that you must follow at all times, tweak when there’s a need to and understand that it’s a journey.

You are telling a story that gives you a favourable image, you have to plan and strategize on WHO you talk to, WHAT you say, HOW you say it, WHEN you say it, through what medium and for how long?

As an artiste, don’t go about telling people you paid X agency for PR and they’re not doing anything. The plan must be time bound (a three month, six month or one year plan), you don’t expect a one year plan to give results in two months.

So, dear artiste, you have to be patient and understand that PR is not a cheat code, it is a STRATEGY!
