Paris Gold: The Malleable Talent

Water is best, but gold shines like fire blazing in the night, supreme of lordly wealth. – Pindar

There are almost no better words to describe Paris like those of Pindar the Olympian in 446 B.C. However, there are enough words to compliment the international multifaceted singer, rapper and a licensed songwriter from Sierra Leone, West Africa and 2021 SLAAM Awards Best Upcoming Female Artist, Paris Gold.

US based Paris started her professional music career in 2017 after being in the highschool choir. Even the deaf can testify that Paris is an amazing and talented singer, rapper and songwriter, and she has been over the years.

In 2017, Paris released her debut single ‘Je T’aime’ after which she followed with ‘Feelings’ where she expressed her displeasure and heartbreak from a certain guy she loved.

Subsequently, she released ‘Excuses’ (2018), ‘Jah Cover Me’, ‘Cassava Leaf’ and ‘One Day’ (2020). This year, she has put out two exceptional singles, ‘Caution’ which was released in February and ‘Nakupenda’ in June.

Her talent and consistent hard work earned her features. on the BBC ‘Focus on Africa’ article in December, 2020, as well as Sierra Leone’s National ( SLBCTV). She also bagged the 2021 SLAAM Awards for Best Upcoming Female Artist.

Beyond being an awesome artist, Paris Gold is also known for her work with the Sierra Leone youths, hosting the first virtual Sierra Leone’s Youth conference.

As her way of giving back to the society that made her, she ignited her passion for Sierra Leone’s health and safety movement where she founded her foundation called, the Paris Gold Foundation which is dedicated to impacting the lives of the needy.

In all, Paris is a creative visionary and most importantly, a passionate humanitarian, her target is to make a global impact through sound, culture, and fashion in order to bring the rest of the world to Sierra Leone.
